Neil Marshall is in his final year at the Columbia School of Social Work and a member of the school’s 2025–2026 DBT Intensive Training Program. His social work experience includes a field placement with the Innocence Project, where he supported individuals navigating the complex challenges of life after wrongful incarceration.
Before pursuing social work, Neil had a fifteen-year career as a professional ballet dancer, beginning his training at the School of American Ballet in New York and concluding as a dancer with Miami City Ballet. Upon returning to New York City, he transitioned into commercial video production before completing his undergraduate studies at Columbia University’s School of General Studies.
Neil’s clinical interests center on high-risk populations, particularly individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation, suicidality, and systemic barriers to care.
